Paul Ballew is the Vice President and Global Chief Data & Analytics Officer at the Ford Motor Company effective June 1, 2017. At the same time, he also was elected a Ford Motor Company officer. In this role, he leads Ford’s global data and analytics teams for the enterprise. Previously, Ballew was Global Chief Data and Analytics officer, a position to which he was named to in December 2014. In this role, he has been responsible for establishing and growing the company’s industry-leading data and analytics operations that is driving significant business value throughout the enterprise. Prior to joining Ford, he was Chief Data, Insight & Analytics Officer at Dun & Bradstreet and Nationwide’s senior vice president for Customer Insight and Analytics. He directed he company’s global data, customer analytics, market research, and information and data management functions, and supported the company’s marketing strategy.
Dr. Jennifer Priestley is the Associate Dean of The Graduate College and the Director of the Analytics and Data Science Institute at Kennesaw State University. In 2012, the SAS Institute recognized Dr. Priestley as the 2012 Distinguished Statistics Professor of the Year. She served as the 2012 and 2015 Co-Chair of the National Analytics Conference. Datanami recognized Dr. Priestley as one of the top 12 “Data Scientists to Watch in 2016.” Dr. Priestley has been a featured speaker at SAS Analytics, Big Data Week, Technology Association of Georgia, Data Science ATL, The Atlanta Chief Data Officer Summit, The Atlanta CEO Council, Predictive Analytics World, INFORMS and dozens of corporate events addressing issues related to advanced analytics and the challenges and opportunities of “Big Data”. She has authored dozens of articles on Binary Classification, Risk Modeling, Sampling, Statistical Methodologies for Problem Solving and Applications of Big Data Analytics. Prior to receiving a Ph.D. in Statistics, Dr. Priestley worked in the Financial Services industry for 11 years. Her positions included Vice President of Business Development for VISA EU in London, as well as for MasterCard US and an
analytical consultant with Accenture’s strategic services group.
Dr. Abhi Seth is the Sr. Director for Data Science & Analytics at Honeywell Aerospace. He leads a global data science and analytics team which delivers analytics solutions for Honeywell customers driving top line growth. His team is also accelerating integration of analytics to transform Honeywell’s business processes and delivering value in areas such as industrial IOT, demand management, pricing, aftermarket growth & inventory optimization. He is passionate about evolving the conversation from analytics technology to Analytics ROI with a strong focus on enabling business priorities through big data. In his prior life, Abhi successfully led analytics monetization and delivered value across multiple industries working in US & Asia Pacific and has held roles in business strategy, new technology development & innovation. Abhi holds a doctorate in Human Computer Interaction & Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University. He is a nature enthusiast, an audiophile and an avid landscape photographer.
Dr. Alex Barclay is the Senior Vice President leading Optum Enterprise Analytics – Analytic Solutions team. The OEA-AS team provides complete analytic capabilities for payment integrity and risk adjustment business, and supports the broader enterprise with global analytic alignment and collaboration on R&D. Dr. Alex Barclay joined UHG through United Healthcare in 2013 as Vice President of Advanced Research and Analytics at United Healthcare, initially focusing on Payment Integrity and eventually supporting all of Shared Services while growing the team from under fifty people to over four hundred. Prior to joining UHG Dr. Alex Barclay was the Vice President of Consulting and Analytics for Fraud and Identity Solutions at Experian. Prior to joining Experian in 2006, he worked for HNC Software and Fair Isaac Corporation for more than six years. Prior to returning to graduate school, Dr. Barclay worked in satellite operations for the U.S. Defense Department at Lockheed Corporation.
Mano Mannoochahr is the Chief Data & Innovation Officer at GE. In this role Mano is responsible for data, analytics and emerging digital technologies across the company and shaping the future of work at GE. The role includes ensuring GE has a solid foundation for managing company-wide data effectively, developing strategies and executing programs to deliver business outcomes, and up-skilling GE employees to ensure the organization can be effective in an increasingly digital world. Prior to this, Mano was the Chief Information Officer for GE Energy Connections, an $11B business within GE. Before joining GE in 2016, Mano was the Global Director of Data, Analytics and Digital Innovation for John Deere. Prior to that he led the formation and later delivery of information oriented solutions for customers under the John Deere FarmSight™ Strategy. Mano holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Sameer Chopra is ID Analytics’ Chief Analytics and Science Officer. He has built high impact data science teams from the ground up and successfully led them to become strategic assets for firms. Most recently, he served on the senior leadership team of GoDaddy as the Chief Analytics Officer. Prior to which he was the Chief Analytics Officer for Orbitz Worldwide (Expedia). Here he founded and grew the Advanced Analytics group—applying data science and machine learning across different facets of the organization, helping transform the culture to become more Data/Analytics driven. Chopra spent earlier years of his career at eBay where he was in the formative team in the Trust & Safety group, building the first set of fraud models. He later went on to lead online marketing analytics at eBay, helping build out a successful KW optimization bidding engine at scale in SEM. He also led eBay’s Experimentation Design & Analysis group (A/B testing and MVT)—a team featured in a Harvard Business Review case study. He currently also serves on the advisory board of Northwestern University’s MSiA (Master’s in Analytics).
IIA Co-Founder and Analytics Thought Leader, Tom Davenport helps guide IIA’s research efforts. He is the President’s Distinguished Professor of IT and Management at Babson College, and a research fellow at the MIT Center for Digital Business. Tom’s “Competing on Analytics” idea was named by Harvard Business Review as one of the twelve most important management ideas of the past decade and the related article was named one of the ten ‘must read’ articles in HBR’s 75 year history. His most recent book, co-authored with Jeanne Harris, is the 10th anniversary edition of Competing on Analytics.
